FAQ’S

Before you ask, and you probably will want to…

DO YOU DO NEW MEDIA?

Yes, I have written and directed for brands on Instatube, Facegram, Gooflikr, Twitface and more. New media is not new, it’s just creating for a different channel.

Back in 2002, I wrote a TV programme concept on the growth of photography via mobile phones, I was told that phones and photography would never be in the picture.

In 2003, I wrote about the benefits of digital currency, again I was told that it wouldn't happen, but nobody paid attention.

So, truth be told new media isn’t new media.

DO YOU SPECIALISE IN A PARTICULAR PRODUCT?

A well-rounded creative can sell any product. Yes, I have created for more alcohol, automotive, sports, electronics, confectionery, and Pharma brands than most, but I have also written for movies, designed clothing for cycling brands, had a game show commissioned by Netflix and have created a new board game.

So, the answer is yes. I specialise in ideas that capture imagination, oh, and sell.

If you want your communication to look and feel the same as all the others in your sector, hire a specialist.

ARE YOU ABOVE OR BELOW THE LINE?

All of the above. I have created, and directed many commercials, also in brand experience, shopper and for corporate clients. Once again, a rounded creative can do all of the above. The trick is being able to connect them with a single voice. In these days of social media, a lot of people forget this.

CAN I WORK TO A BRIEF?

Yes, and for the most part, I do. However, I tend not to take on a brief at face value. Sometimes they are not completely correct and the path they can lead the creative down is misguided. This is not the account handler’s fault, God knows they have a difficult task at the best of times, but it can be a simple miscommunication and can be remedied by a simple chat.

DO YOU WORK ON YOUR OWN OR IN A TEAM?

Both. I have a number of amazing Art Directors that I work with, but if it is ideas that you need and can make it look pretty later, then I have seldom failed in creating them on my own.

WHERE DO YOU WORK?

Anywhere and everywhere. I have created in the USA, Asia and, of course, Europe. Sadly though, my language is limited to English, profanity and when I am relaxed, pure gibberish.
