Beringer

Print - 'Inspiring Great Stories Since 1876'

Beringer Vineyards holds the distinction of being the oldest continuously operating winery in the Napa Valley. It is also one of the very few wineries that survived the draconian prohibition of 1922. When they began their public tours in 1934 the rich and famous, including Clark Gable and the notorious underworld boss Al Capone, made the trip to visit Beringer to celebrate the end of Prohibition.
