EVENT BACKGROUND: THE LU PLAN

 

The challenge was to upgrade or rebuild almost every part of the Tube network and, at the same time, keep the service running for the millions of people who depend on it every day.

 

So, how do you get over 11, 000 members of staff to understand and develop? Social media? A pamphlet? Message boards? We felt that it was vital to get all on board, so we decided to invite each and every one of them through a one-day event over 94 days.

 

The then Managing Director of LU expressed the wish to attend every day but given that the world always throws curveballs we convinced him that he couldn’t attend every day, but he could always be there – as a hologram!
